Mudtec

Mudtec is a manufacturer and supplier of compressed earth blocks. Using local soils and sand to produce strong beautiful bricks, stabilised with 5-7% cement. The addition of oxides and/or aggregates can produce a variety of colour and texture options. A wonderful way to add thermal mass to a building as either a load bearing component or lining.
With over 15 years experience in natural building techniques, Mudtec can provide contract work, workshops and training or consultation and support for builders, home owners and designers. Mudtec has built with, or ran workshops in, all aspects of natural building, including compressed earth blocks, mud brick, cob, earth bags, straw bale, hemp-crete, poured earth, bamboo construction, earthen floors and have specialised equipment and experience in the installation of light straw clay infill, and natural renders and plasters.
