By sharing our 30-year experience in the art and science of earth building we are empowering people the world over to get creative and reclaim the ability to build their own healthy living spaces, while having a minimal impact on the planet.
To support building professionals and self-builders worldwide in fast tracking natural building projects, we offer online classes, programs, 1:1 consultancy and mentorships, allowing our students to build knowledge and skills, without the need to travel.
We also run regular in-person workshops in Aotearoa New Zealand and will consider overseas teaching engagements.

With over 200+ completed projects through Solid Earth Ltd since 2002, and many years of teaching experience through Earthbuilding School (online and in-person in NZ and abroad), we are one of the most experienced natural building companies and the longest standing Adobe Brick manufacturer in New Zealand. Our focus is on creating beautiful, healthy living spaces that have minimal environmental footprint. We take pride in our state-of-the-art workmanship, extensive research and innovation in the field, as well as our contribution towards the NZ Earth Building Standards.

We specialize in the innovative Low-Density Adobe Brick technique for seismic and temperate areas, and on retrofitting natural materials like natural plasters, earthen floors and earthen feature walls in timber-framed buildings, as well as the restoration of historic cob buildings and lime plaster applications.
