Come be a presenter / stallholder at the new Natural Building Tent @ Off Grid Festival in Chiltern, Vic April 6-7, 2024.

We invite you to join the first in-person Natural Building Australia tent and demonstration area devoted to all things natural building. The tent is forming part of 5 specialised talk and demonstration zones taking place at the Off Grid Living Festival in Chiltern, Victoria on April 6-7, 2024.

The Off-Grid Living Festival enables and empowers people to take their energy needs into their own hands, transition to sustainable lifestyles, build self-sufficiency skills and get off the grid. Starting in 2018, the 2024 festival is set to be their biggest event yet with over 250 exhibitors, a huge program of talks, workshops and demonstrations and over 10,000 participants over 2 days.

The Natural Building Tent is going to consist of a 10 x 18 marquee divided in two, with one section hosting panels and talks, and the other section open for stall holders (2m x 2m or shared folding table) and an open space for demonstrations.

We are very excited to be hosting this space and building the program to share the vital knowledge and information in our community, and share it with a growing audience interested in owner building, and or finding contractors and builders who will use natural and recycled materials for their next home.

We have proposed to run the Natural Building tent as 4 separate sessions. Session 1-2 (Saturday morning), Session 3-4 (Saturday afternoon), Session 5-6 (Sunday morning), Session 7 (Sunday afternoon). We invite you to stay for at least 1 if not all the sessions over the weekend.

Each session has a distinct theme or focus so please advise which session/s you’d like to join in on as a panellist, speaker, to run a demonstration or as a speed date a designer/architect (Saturday afternoon) as part of a participation/stallholder package.

Please advise this year we are looking for a major tent sponsor, and you can download the Off Grid Living Festival Sponsorship Package PDF below to get involved and help this tent, and the broader festival flourish.

It is only with the support of our community that we can put on this event and Natural Building Australia is devoted to bringing more events, and more opportunities to more Australians to discover and utilise natural materials.

If you do not want to be responsible for or run a stall, please select the $50 option to participate in this year’s event, and we are offering a 20% discount for NBA members. Hopefully in future years with sponsorships locked in we will be able to run without participants having to financially contribute, but your help and understanding in this first year will ensure we can cover costs and run a great event!

We’d really love you to jump on board and bring your friends, family and colleagues to the festival and check it out.

Options for participation

Packages for stallholders (note NBA members receive a 20% discount, click here to sign up)

Package 1: $100

  1. 2x2m space in the demonstration shared area.
  2. 1 x trestle table & 1 chair supplied - all other decorative elements or display items to be supplied by the exhibitor.
  3. Option to add a talk, demonstration or workshops to the program or be part of a panel talk.

Package 2: $50

  1. Share a space in the demonstration area with 3 others and take turns at manning the space.
  2. 1 x trestle table & 3 chairs supplied - all other decorative elements or display items to be supplied by the exhibitor.
  3. Option to add a talk, demonstration or workshops to the program or be part of a panel talk.

Workshop Hosting
With enough interest we would be looking to dedicate a marquee to paid workshops. If you would like to run your own dedicated workshop on a specialised topic please give an outline of what it would be/ how long and we can help set it up so you can generate revenue as part of your offering to join us for the weekend or part there/of.
